grr

Fox News often has a Grr posting so here is my grr for the day. First of all, my day started bad before the dya even officialy starting. I had beent talking to my mom about having the car. She then went to my dad and said, "Evie would like to have the car tomorrow because she wantst to go help out on Third Thursday at Apex." Well my mom then comes stomping down stairs. He was muttering somethign to himself and was clearly mad about something. He then said to me in an arritated voice, "You can have the car tomorrow."
Now, why was he so mad about having to give me the car? Who knows. Who cars. The point is he lashed out at me and left me wondering what I had done that was so horribly wrong that he snapped at me. I then went up stairs so he wouldn't see my cry; hurt and confused about the big deal abpit my having the car. Granted, we only have two cars between the two of us. With the winter storm comming, mom and dad start getting ants about giving me the car, worried to death I might get hurt or at the very lease total the car. Now, today what was suppose to happen was I was suppose to drive to work six, come home, go pick-up mom from work and then head on over to Apex for Third Thursday. By the time I left work four hours later, there were two messages on my cell and a written message left for me on the driver's side seat of the car telling met to go straight home and not drive anywhere unless I absolutely had to. So, though I am a twenty-four year old adult, I still have no say in life about how I am going to spend my time and must have my parents blessing to volunteer my time however I see fit.
Normally, I would have walked home. The problem: the roads are always more cleared than what the sidewalks are and it can be almost dangerouse if not more dangerous for me to walk home than to drive. My dad doesn't seem to understand this. I just hope that nobody else is staying home from Third Thursday because of the weather. Atleast I have the luxury of not having to worry about where my next meal comes from. The people who depend on Apex to deliver that food can't afford for everyone to wimp out. We made a commitment to these people and we need to keep it.
In other news:
-I found out that when you take previously owned videos and sell them back to the video stores, atleast some of the stores only give you in store credit, not cash. I decided that was better than nothing because after all, I will have a movie or too in the distant future that I will want to watch. Ten bucks Tun bucks, no?
-I asked the small group to pray about my hours. I found out Thursday after being off work for the past three days that the lady that normaly does salads had been off because her mother had a heart attack. I was hired for the sole purpose of helping them with salads but did anybody bother to call me in to help? NO! I could have worked every day this week. On the bright I haggled to come in at 8:30 am instead of 11:00 am to give me time to the preps for salad and for lunch. Hopefully I will still work until about 2 or 3 o'clock.
